A returning student is any individual who has not been enrolled at Moraine Valley for at least two years (six semesters). Returning students must be聽readmitted聽to the college.

Moraine Valley聽has聽partnered聽with聽ReUp聽Education to support returning students as they reengage and work toward completing their academic goals. Through this partnership, students receive personalized support, including direct outreach and connections to campus resources.聽ReUp聽collaborates closely with Moraine Valley enrollment coaches to guide students through re-enrollment and the next steps toward degree completion.

All returning聽Students must contact or visit the Registration Office (Room S103) to update their current address and program of study. If you attended one or more colleges during your time away, official transcripts for all coursework completed since last attending Moraine Valley must be聽submitted.

If your enrollment has been interrupted for six or more consecutive semesters (including summer), you may resume your studies; however, the college catalog may have changed since your last enrollment. As a returning student, you are subject to the current catalog and graduation requirements, and your program of study will be updated through the Registration Office.

After your account has been updated, you are encouraged to visit the Academic Advising Center in S201 to review degree or certificate requirements in effect at the time of re-enrollment.

Getting Started

  1. Update your account
    If it has been more than six semesters since you last attended Moraine Valley, contact the Registration Office (Room S103) at (708) 974-2110 to update your account.
  2. Complete the FAFSA
    Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for federal, state, and institutional aid.聽聽Moraine Valley School Code: 007692
  3. Submit Transcripts
    Provide an official high school transcript or High School Equivalency Certificate to the Records Office (Room S111) if not already on file.
    Submit official transcripts from all colleges previously attended, along with a transcript evaluation request form, to the Records Office.
  4. Meet with Academic Advising
    Visit the Academic Advising Center (Room S201) for聽assistance聽with course聽selection.
