The Democracy Commitment is a national community college initiative with the goal of聽giving聽every graduate of an American community college an education聽in聽democracy. To that end, Moraine Valley integrates service opportunities, advocacy and policy creation, guest lectures and faculty development into its teaching and learning.

Citizenship
Moraine Valley not only offers citizenship classes for students who are preparing to apply for the naturalization interview and exam, but also hosts naturalization ceremonies on campus.
